Nando was born on June 6th 1990 at Tiergarten Stadt Nurnberg and is the son of Eva and Moby. When he was about 6 years old, on July 11th 1996, Nando and his four years older brother Nemo were moved to Allwetterzoo where they lived together until Nemo was moved to Dolfinarium Harderwijk in September 2008. The same month as Nemo was moved three new dolphins were moved to Allwetterzoo from Dolfinarium harderwijk: Palawas, Rocco and Kite.
Today Nando lives together with the three younger dolphins Palawas,
Rocco and Kite in Allwetterzoo’s dolphinarium. Nando is easy to recognize since
he is both darker and larger than the rest of the dolphins. Like all of
Allwetterzoo’s dolphins Nando is participating in the park’s dolphin shows.
