Gara was
captured in 1995 in Cuba and arrived at Acuario de La Habana the same year. She
lived there until she was moved to Aqualand later the same year. In 2000 Gara
gave birth to her first calf that was named Hector II. Four years later she
also gave birth to her second calf, Teide. Today Gara is participating in
Aqualand’s dolphin therapy. She is currently pregnant and will give birth to her third calf in September 2010.
