was born on August 13th 2003 at Boudewijn Seapark in Belgium. His
mother is Linda and his father was Tex (who passed away at Marineland Antibes
in 2005). Mateo has an older brother named Milo who unfortunately passed away
in 2008 during an operation. Mateo was moved to Aquario di Genova on September
6th 2006 together with his mother Linda. At that time the dolphin
female Beta lived at Aquario di Genova but unfortunately she passed away in
October 2008.
Mateo
has several halfsiblings who all were born at Boudewijn Seapark: Yotta, Indy,
Skippy, Gorky, Simo, Luna, Iggy, Marco, Ocean, Flo and Fernando. Unfortunately
several of his halfsiblings are deceased. Mateo weighs 130 kilograms and
measures 2,26 meters (weight and length 2006).
