Lester was captured on December 15th 1972 and arrived at Seaworld San Diego the same year where he participated in the park’s dolphin shows for several years before he was moved to Seaworld Orlando. At Seaworld Orlando Lester lived until May 6th 1997 when he was moved to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay where he lived for a few months before he was moved back to Seaworld Orlando on September 11th 1997. On October 3rd 1997 Lester was moved back to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay again and lived there before he once again was moved to Seaworld Orlando on April 21st 1998. This time Lester lived at Seaworld Orlando for almost one year before he was moved to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay again on January 13th 1999. Almost exactly one year later, on January 10th 2000, Lester was moved back to Seaworld Orlando again but on February 15th 2000 he was moved to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay again. He lived there until he was moved to his current home Discovery Cove on September 28th 2000.
