Sharkey was captured on April 15th 1982 and arrived at Marineland of the Pacific the same day. In 1987 she was moved to Seaworld San Diego where she lived until she was moved to Discovery Cove in 2004. During a dolphin show at Discovery Cove on April 26th 2008 Sharkey jumped and collided with another dolphin named Tyler. Unfortunately Sharkey passed away shortly after the collision. Sharkey was about 30 years old when she passed away.
