Amber
stranded on January 4th 2007 and arrived at Dolfinarium Harderwijk’s
rehabilitation centre SOSDolfijn the same day. In the beginning she was called
Bruintje and unlike most of the porpoises that Dolfinarium Harderwijk has
rescued Amber was an adult when she stranded. However it was decided that she
could not be released back into the sea and she was moved from SOSDolfijn to
Bruinvisbaai. In May 2009 Amber gave birth to a calf that was named Kwin and
today the two of them live in the centre Bruinvisbaai. In 2007 Amber measured
1,5 meters.
