Molly
was captured on July 9th 1980 and arrived at Seaworld Orlando the
same year where she lived until she was moved to Dolfinarium Harderwijk on June
8th 1997. In May 2001 Molly gave birth to her first calf that was a
female and was named Amtan. A little more than 8 years later, on July 21st
2009, she gave birth to her second calf that also was a female and was named
Lelie.
Today,
Molly lives in Dolfinarium Harderwijk’s centre Dolfijnendelta together with
several other bottlenose dolphins while her oldest daughter Amtan lives at
Planete’ Sauvage. Molly can be recognized by the scar on her forehead.
