Roxy was
born on April 18th 1987 at Seaworld Orlando and is the daughter of
Louise and Ralph. When she was a little more than ten years old, on June 8th
1997, Roxy was moved to Dolfinarium Harderwijk where she on May 12th
2001 gave birth to her first calf that was a male and was named Damsxi. About
four years later, in July 2005, Roxy also gave birth to her second calf that
also was a male and was named Rocco. When Rocco was almost three years ol Roxy
gave birth to her first daughter, Parel, and later the same year Rocco was
moved from Dolfinarium Harderwijk to Allwetterzoo.
Today,
Roxy lives, together with Parel, in the centre Dolfijnendelta while Rocco lives
at Allwetterzoo and Damsxi lives in Dolfinarium Harderwijk’s centre
DolfijndoMijn. She can be recognized by a little white area on her right
flipper and since Skinny has a similar area on her right flipper it could be
possible to confuse Roxy and Skinny but Skinny’s white area is much bigger than
Roxy’s.
