What are the dolphin trainers actually doing at work? The dolphin
trainers main task is of course to make sure the dolphins are doing fine. This
means a lot of cleaning in the dolphinarium since dolphins are very sensitive
to bacterium they are not used to. The dolphin trainers also sort the fish that
the dolphins eat and at several dolphinariums the dolphin trainers also take
care of other animals, for example seals. But even though the trainers do a lot
of other things the dolphin training and caring for the dolphins is their main
task. In the dolphin training the dolphin trainers for example teach the
dolphins new behaviours, prepare the dolphins for different examinations and
participate when the dolphins are examined by veterinarians. Most dolphinariums
have dolphin shows in which the dolphin trainers also are participating.
