Naya's calf was born on December 20th 2009 at Shedd Aquarium and was the son of Naya and Naluark. After the birth he was separated from his mother but in the morning the next day, December 21st, he was reunited with her again and also met Puiji and her, at that time, one week old calf. As most whales and dolphins Naya's calf was born with tail first and at birth he measured 1,7 meters and weighed 69 kilograms.In the morning of December 22nd 2009 Naya's calf had not began tp nurse and unfortunately he passed away later the same day.
