Betty was captured in 1983 and was born in 1981. She arrived to
Kolmården March 9th 1993 together with Lotty and Sharky. They came
from Flamingoland in England, but were moved to Kolmården because the
dolphinarium was closed. Sharky and Lotty gave birth to their first calves
after 1 and 2 years respectively, while Betty didn’t give birth to any calves.
After a few years she was moved to Gardaland in Italy and that is where she
lives now. She gave birth to her first calf October 28th 2001, a
female calf named Nau, and in 2005 Betty gave birth to her second calf, a male
calf named Tango. Now Betty is living at Gardaland with Nau and Tango and the
males Robin and Teide.
