The show pool
Kolmården's Dolphinarium was inagurated in 1969 and it is the only dolphinarium in Sweden. The dolphinarium consists of two large pools, the show pool and the lagoon (built in 1993), and a smaller pool between these. The pools have a total volume of 6400 cubic meters and the depth varies from 3 to 6 meters. In the summer therer are 2 to 5 dolphin shows daily in the show pool, which takes 1800 visitors. Currently 8 dolphins live in the dolphinarium, 5 of them were born at Kolmården Zoo.
