Skipper was a male dolphin that was captured in 1969 when he already was 18 years old. He arrived at Kolmården in 1969, the same year as the dolphinarium opened, and participated in the dolphin shows until the beginning of the 1980s when he "retired". But Skipper did not like this and soon he was back in the dolphin shows. Skipper unfortunately passed away on December 21st 1992 but at that time he was 41 years old and that is fairly old for a dolphin.
