Nazare
stranded on August 27th 2006 and arrived at Lisbon Zoo the same
year. Like most dolphins, whales and porpoises that strand, Nazare was fairly
young when he stranded (born in the spring of 2006) and it is probably
therefore he could not be released into the sea again. Unfortunately Nazare
passed away on June 4th 2009.
