Hina was born in 1978 and was captured on July 27th 1984. In August 1996 she arrived at Moorea Dolphin Center with a male called Aito. Aito unfortunately passed away about thirteen years later, in February 2010. Today Hina lives at Moorea Dolphin Center with two younger males called Kuokoa and Lokahi. She is the dominant dolphin in the group and her name means "Goddess of the moon". Hina weighs 187 kilograms and measures 2.51 meters.
