Beauty
was captured in 1982 and was presumed to be 7 years old at the capture (born in
1975). She came to Parc Asterix on November 13th 1994 and about 4
years later she gave birth to her first calf, the female Bailey. The father of
Bailey was the male Pichi and when Bailey was 5 years old Beauty gave birth to
her second calf, a male named Balasi. About 1 year later Bailey’s and Balasi’s
father Pichi was moved to Kolmården Zoo and two years after that all the
dolphins at Parc Asterix were moved to Dolfinarium Harderwijk because Parc
Asterix’s dolphinarium was going to be re-built. Beauty and the rest of the
dolphins came back to Parc Asterix in spring 2008. Beauty measures 2,75 meters
(length 2005). She is currently pregnant and is presumed to give birth to her calf in July or August 2010.
