Betty was captured on January 22nd 1980 and arrived at Seaworld San Diego the same day. She lived there until September 30th 1995 when she was moved to Seaworld San Antonio. In August 1999 Betty gave birth to her first, and so far only, calf who was a female and was named Hailey. Today both Betty and Hailey and the rest of Seaworld San Antonio's pacific white-sided dolphins live in the centre White Whale and Dolphin Stadium.
