Lorelai was captured on February 3rd 1981. In September 1993 Lorelai gave birth to her first calf who was a female and was named Catalina. About 6 years later, in 1999, Lorelai became a grandmother when Catalina gave birth to her first calf that was a female and was named Avalon. In September 2003, almost exactly 10 years after her first calf was born, Lorelai gave birth to her second calf that was a male and was named Dart. Catalina gave birth to her second calf in September 2009 which means that Lorelai also is the grandmother of little Bolt. Lorelai, Catalina, Avalon, Dart and Bolt are currently living in White Whale and Dolphin Stadium with the other pacific white-sided dolphins Munchkin, Hailey and Betty.
