Nico was captured in 1997 and arrived at Georgia Aquarium on October 17th 2005 with another male beluga called Gasper. On October 4th 2009 all of Georgia Aquarium's belugas (Nico, Maris and Natasha) were moved to Seaworld San Antonio where they were going to live for a few months while Georgia Aquarium was being re-built. Unfortunately Nico passed away on October 31st 2009, only a few weeks after he had arrived at Seaworld San Antonio. Nico weighed 771 kilograms and measured 4.6 meters.
