Aurek
was born on June 27th 2003 at Marineland Canada and is the son of
Gemini. When he was about 3 and a half years old, on November 19th
2006, he was moved to Seaworld Orlando together with the two beluga males Juno
and Klondike. At Seaworld Orlando a beluga female named Spooky lived but when
Aurek, Juno and Klondike had lived at the park for just about one year Spooky
unfortunately passed away. About half a year later the, at that time,
3-year-old beluga female Maple was moved to Seaworld Orlando. Like Aurek and
the other two beluga males Maple came from Marineland Canada. Today Aurek,
Maple and Klondike live together in Seaworld Orlando’s beluga centre while Juno is currently living at Mystic Aquarium. All
of Seaworld Orlando’s belugas are trained but the park does not have any beluga
shows.
