Nalanie
was born on September 18th 2006 at Seaworld Orlando and is the
daughter of Katina and Katina’s son Taku. At birth she measured 2.1 meters and
weighed 158 kilograms. When Nalanie was about four years old, in January 2007,
she got her name that means “of the heavens”. Later the same year Nalanie’s
father Taku passed away (who at that time lived at Seaworld San Antonio). Today
Nalanie spends a lot of time together with her mother Katina, halfsister Kalina
and another orca female named Kayla.
