Relatives: mother Takara, father Taku (deceased), the halfsisters Sakari, Kohana and Nalanie, the grandmothers Kasatka and Katina and the grandfathers Kotar (deceased) and Tilikum.

Trua was born on November 23^rd 2005 at Seaworld Orlando and is the son of Takara and Taku. Like most orcas he was born with the tail first and at birth he measured 2.1 meters and weighed 158 kilograms. When Trua was about one year old his father Taku was moved to Seaworld San Antonio where he unfortunately passed away the following year and in the beginning of 2009 Trua’s mother Takara was also moved to Seaworld San Antonio. Today the female orca Kayla is taking care of Trua and Trua is a playful little orca that often plays with the park’s visitors at the windows. Trua’s name is Icelandic and means “believe”. The name was chosen because Seaworld Orlando’s orca show is called “Believe”.
