Relatives: the daughters Toni (deceased) and Rachel (deceased), the sons Pepe, Crocker (deceased) and Ross and the grandson Tiger (deceased) plus a calf which gender is unknown (this calf was born on June 19th 2009 but is probably deceased)

Betsy was captured on November 25^th 1983 and arrived at Seaworld San Diego the same year. When she had lived there for about 6 years, on September 10^th 1988, she gave birth to her first calf that was a female and was named Toni. Five years later, on May 23^rd 1993, she also got a son named Pepe. When Pepe was about two years old, on June 21^st 1995, Betsy gave birth to her third calf that also was a male and was named Crocker. The following year she also became a grandmother when her daughter Toni gave birth to her first calf that was a male and was named Tiger. On October 23^rd 1998 Betsy got yet another calf and, like the two previous, this calf was also a male. The calf was named Ross. In 2001 Betsy gave birth to her second daughter and the little female calf was named Rachel

Today both of Betsy’s daughters are unfortunately deceased like also her son Crocker and grandson Tiger. Pepe and Ross on the other hand are still alive and are currently living at Aquatica. Betsy herself lives together with two other Commerson dolphins: the female Ringer and the male Juan. She gave birth to her latest calf on June 19^th 2009 but the calf is probably deceased.
