Cometa was captured on January 20^th 1986 and arried at Marineland of the Pacific the same year. When she had lived at Marineland of the Pacific for about one year Cometa was moved to Seaworld San Diego where she has lived since then. In August 1990 she gave birth to her first calf that was a male and was named Baretta. About three and a half years later she gave birth to her second calf that also was a male and was named Ajax. Two years later Cometa also gave birth to her first daughter named Haley and on August 12^th 2000 she gave birth to yet another daughter named Corona. On July 14^th 2004 Cometa gave birth to her fifth calf. Like the two latest calves this calf was a female and she was named Venus.

Today Cometa’s two daughters Corona and Venus still lives at Seaworld San Diego while both Baretta and Ajax lives at Seaworld Orlando. Hayley is unfortunately deceased.
