Kalia
was born on December 21st 2004 at Seaworld San Diego and is the
daughter of Kasatka and Keet. On March 5th 2005 Kalia got her name
through a naming contest. Today Kalia and the rest of the orcas at Seaworld San
Diego can be seen at Seaworld’s webcam Shamu Cam and since Kalia is the
youngest and smallest orca at Seaworld San Diego she is easy to recognize. She
also has three black spots on her white area by the eye, which also makes her
easy to recognize. Kalia measures 3,66 meters and weighs 664,5 kilograms
(weight and length 2006).
