Seaworld San Diego has four different centres for bottlenose dolphin plus one 1
for belugas, 1 for Commerson dolphins and 1 for orcas, all the centres consists
of several pools

San Diego has 55 cetaceans divided on seven different centres depending on
their species, age, health etc. Below you can read about the diffent centres;
Rocky
Point Preserve
is a centre where Seaworld San Diego’s visitors can feed and pet the bottlenose
dolphins. Here lives bottlenose dolphins of both genders and of different ages
and this is also the centre where many of the park’s dolphin calves are moved
when they are about 1-2 years old.
Dolphin
Interaction Program is the centre where Seaworld San Diego’s Dolphin Interaction Program
takes place. You can read more about this on Seaworld San Diego’s website. In
this centre live several bottlenose dolphins of different ages.
Dolphin
Discovery Show
is the centre where the park’s dolphin shows takes place. Here live several
bottlenose dolphins but also Seaworld San Diego’s two pilot whales Bubbles and
Shadow.
Animal
Care is the
centre where the park’s pregnant dolphins or dolphins with young dolphin calves
live. This is also where dolphins with health problems or dolphins that
recently have arrived to the park from other dolphinariums live.
Shamu
Stadium is
the centre where Seaworld San Diego’s seven orcas live. The centre consists of
five different pools.
Wild
Arctic is
the centre where the park’s four belugas live.
Journey
to Atlantis
is the centre where Seaworld San Diego’s three Commerson dolphins live.
