Tobie
stranded on September 30th 1991 and is presumed to be born in June
1986. When she stranded she was taken to Seaworld Orlando where she lived until
she was moved to Seaworld Ohio on April 26th 1998. At Seaworld Ohio
Tobie lived for just a few months before she was moved to Seaworld San Diego on
October 19th 1998.The following year, on July 21st 1999,
Tobie gave birth to her first calf that was a male and was named Kenobi. A
little more than one year after Kenobi’s birth Tobie was moved to Rocky Point
Preserve where she lived for about one year. In May 2003 she gave birth to her
second calf that was a female and was named Maguire and in November 2008 Tobie
gave birth to yet another calf that also was a female and was named Cocoa.
Today
Tobie lives in the centre Animal Care together with Cocoa and several other
dolphins while Kenobi is living in the show centre and Maguire is living in the
centre Dolphin Interaction Program.
