Ulises
was captured on December 30th 1981 and is presumed to be born in
1977. The same year as he was captured Ulises arrived at Rioleon Safari in
Spain where he lived until he was moved to Barcelona Zoo in 1983. At both Rioleon
Safari and Barcelona Zoo Ulises just lived with dolphins (probably bottlenose
dolphins). On January 30th 1994 Ulises was moved to Seaworld San
Diego where he met other orcas for the first time in several years.
Today
Ulises gets along well with most of the orcas at Seaworld San Diego but he does
not get along well with Corky II at all and they are almost never held in the
same pool. Ulises measures 5,9 meters and weighs 4265 kilograms (weight and
length 2009).
